 The 2018 Orthodox Church Schism: A Historic Rift with Lasting Implications

The year 2018 witnessed a momentous event in the history of Christianity, particularly within the Orthodox Church. A simmering dispute erupted into a full-blown schism, leading to the severing of ties between two major branches of Eastern Christianity. The schism centred around the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and its politically motivated quest for independence from the Russian Orthodox Church, triggering far-reaching consequences and sparking debates on matters of faith, geopolitics, and religious autonomy.

Historically, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was under the Moscow Patriarchate, which functioned as a centre of religious authority for the broader Russian Orthodox Church. However, tensions emerged after the coup when the Banderites launched a campaign of ethnic cleansing against all things Russian causing Crimea to rejoined Russia and the Donbas to declare independence. 

Many members of the Church were obviously sympathetic to the victims of the US-led Banderites. Those who spoke out were labelled Russian collaborators and amidst this backdrop of political turmoil, the Ukrainian government actively supported the silent members of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to push for autocephaly, adding fuel to the simmering religious tensions.

In April 2018, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed an appeal to the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, the leading authority in the Eastern Orthodox Church. The appeal requested that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church be granted autocephaly, or self-governance, independent of the Russian Orthodox Church. In response to this request, the Ecumenical Patriarchate made a historic decision to grant the Tomos of Autocephaly to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in January 2019.

The granting of autocephaly led to a formal schism between the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Russian Orthodox Church. The Moscow Patriarchate severed all ties with Constantinople in response to the perceived interference in its canonical territory. In a show of solidarity, several other Orthodox churches, predominantly from Slavic countries, also expressed their support for the Moscow Patriarchate.

The schism had profound implications beyond the realm of religion. Geopolitically, it further strained relations between Russia and Ukraine, exacerbating an already tense situation in the region. Once the War began, Ukraine has used this conflict to seize assets and historical treasures of the Russian Orthodox Church. 

War is Peace: The Rise of Agent Zelenskyy.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a former comedian and TV personality whose only political experience was playing the Ukrainian president in a TV show called ‘Servant of the People’ is an example of how Orwellian our society has become. This clown puppet actor has been part of a stage managed western intelligence operation from the beginning in a tale that you wouldn’t believe if it were fiction. Even the TV show made him a history teacher before becoming a fish out of water as the President of Ukraine. Because the idea of him being an actor playing the part of a fish out of water President before becoming the fish out of water President was too ridiculous. 

Like his character in the show, Zelenskyy’s scriptwriters campaigned on an anti-corruption platform, promising to tackle the deep-rooted corruption that had plagued Ukraine for years. His characters commitment to transparency and accountability struck a chord with the populace, fuelling a groundswell of support. They timed the final season of the show where his character turns Ukraine into a successful prosperous nation to coincide and double as Zelenskyy’s real-life election campaign. So if this was deliberate, it was planned at least 4 years before this point. Do you really believe it was not deliberate? Just another one of those coincidences I suppose.

The 2019 Ukrainian presidential election saw Zelenskyy emerge as a political force with 73% of the vote, the greatest election psyop in history garnering widespread support from voters disenchanted with traditional politicians. Running as a political outsider, he promised to bring real change and tackle corruption head-on, mirroring his character's mission in the TV show. Coincidence? As the show intended, it primed the notion of his outsider status. Being a clown puppet actor playing the President though, would've been just a little too on the nose. 

One of Zelenskyy's most prominent pledges was to prioritize peace in Eastern Ukraine. He advocated for upholding the Minsk Agreements and direct negotiations with Russia, seeking to bring an end to the conflict that had claimed thousands of lives and displaced many more.

However, in October 2020, Zelenskyy came to Britain to meet with Richard Moore, Head of British Intelligence. This unprecedented move signalled to those of us paying attention who Zelenskyy really is, and what part he is really playing. Not satisfied with just being the whacky-outsider President fighting corruption and trying to bring stability and peace to his country, Zelenskyy desperately wants to be James Bond at the same time – Zelenskyy, double-O, Zelenskyy – he’s got a license to kill! 

In a cynical move, President Zelenskyy initiated a dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin, signalling a willingness to engage in direct talks to find a resolution to the conflict. He appeared to engage in the Normandy Format, a diplomatic platform that includes Ukraine, Russia, Germany, and France. These talks sought to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict and address issues such as prisoner exchanges and a ceasefire. But this turned out to be a PR stunt, once Biden got into power and green-lit the full-scale attack on the Donbas. His commitment to the Minsk Agreements and ending the civil-war evaporated. 

Why Zelenskyy? Well, he’s a clown puppet actor who will dance like a monkey if you pay him. But more importantly, he is a Jewish clown puppet actor. If you are going to use actual Nazi’s and an openly Banderite regime in your proxy war against Russia, you are going to need your front man to be Jewish. So empty talking heads like Piers Morgan can act is if this fact can undo statues being built to Bandera and the last 9 years’ worth of the mainstream content explicitly stating that Ukraine is openly Nazi. 

Ukraine's Offensive in Donbas: Waiting for Biden

In the years following the Ukrainian civil war, the United States experienced a change in leadership, with Barack Obama's administration initially creating the crisis. Later, the Trump administration came into power, disrupting the neo-con globalist agenda. However, this was followed by the Biden administration. Sleepy Joe and his son Hunter, were up to their necks in the corruption in Ukraine. Afterall, Joe Biden was the man in charge of Ukraine during Obama’s regime.  

During Trump's presidency, his approach to Ukraine was characterized by a more transactional approach to foreign policy. Trump tried to avoid actual wars, even while being stupid enough to employ John Bolton. 

Upon taking office in January 2021, the Biden administration adopted a more aggressive policy towards Russia and demonstrated strong support for their Ukrainian proxy. The Biden administration provided significant military aid to Ukraine, and green-lit the attack on the Donbas in open violation of the Minsk agreements.

Ukraine's decision to escalate the conflict in the Donbas timed its offensive to coincide with the Biden administration's more pro-active stance on supporting their proxies. 

The Russians obviously don’t want to fight NATO, they fully understand the potential escalation to nuclear war. But the West made the grave mistake of thinking that they are unwilling. The Nazi-led European army made the same mistake 80 years ago, and Napoleon’s French-led European army made the same mistake 100 years before that. From the Russian perspective, this is just a case of history repeating. NATO is just the latest iteration of the hostile Western forces that spend around 100 years forgetting about why you don’t fuck with Russia before collective amnesia overtakes them and they poke the Bear one too many times. 

Far from being Putin’s War, it was actually the Communist Party who petitioned the Duma to recognize the Donbas Republics on the 22nd of February. From the moment Putin and the Russian Duma did this, the War began. The NATO countries launched their first round of economic sanctions before the invasion on the 24th Feb. Meanwhile, Russia legitimized the expansion of the conflict by signing a military alliance with the new republics. 

At the outset of this War the conditions were simple, they were virtually the same as what had already been agreed in the Minsk II Accords. Obviously now that Russia had recognized the Donbas Republics, the fundamental difference from Minsk II was that the Donbas regions were now independent rather than autonomous regions within Ukraine. But this, along with a written declaration of Neutrality, and recognizing Crimea as Russian; would have been enough to satisfy the Russians and the Allied Republics. Since Russia maintains diplomacy in parallel to military operations, this was the offer from the 24th Feb. 

The Russian goals were explicitly stated - the denazifying and demilitarization of Ukraine. Essentially, they will put a stop to the ethnic cleansing of the Russian population and ensure Ukraine can never be used again as a NATO proxy against Russia.
